“Work With A Scientist” Program is funded by National Science Foundation to support high school students’ partnership with scientists at University of Texas at El Paso. This pioneering UTEP-led study investigates how collaborations between University STEM faculty and high school students could lead to more of them becoming science, technology, engineering and mathematics majors – and professionals. In particular, the team employs co-generative dialogue, a conversation among students and faculty scientists to reflect and speak freely about their experiences. This four-year project investigates the various benefits of co-generative dialogues, an educational innovation that engages and empowers students in a supportive learning environment.
